![]() For expert photographers, the intensity of the effect can be modified, so as to tailor the correction to the individual taste of each photographer. The results are spectacular: in just one click, the contrast in the image is instantly improved and faded colors are revived. He adds: “The correction is local and completely automatic, making it unnecessary to draw areas by hand or to create a graduated filter.” ![]() That’s why DxO OpticsPro establishes a kind of depth map of the image scene and removes the impression of grey veil only when necessary” explains Frédéric Guichard, Chief Scientist Officer of DxO Labs. “Due to its physical nature, the phenomenon of haze increases with the distance between the camera and the subject. ![]() Based on a powerful algorithm, DxO ClearView analyzes the color components of each pixel and locally improves the image contrast. The new exclusive DxO ClearView feature automatically eliminates the phenomenon of atmospheric haze visible in many landscape photos, as well as the smog often present in urban images. More accessible than ever, DxO OpticsPro 10 is available in two new editions – ESSENTIAL and ELITE – for both Mac and PC, starting from $129/£99/129€. Its many presets allow photographers to adapt the processing to suit their tastes, and to bring out the best in their photos in just a few clicks. Based on this proprietary data, DxO OpticsPro is able to offer the most powerful tools for processing RAW and JPEG images: unequaled optical corrections, intelligent optimization of exposure and contrast, and preservation of colors and details. This new version also enhances the revolutionary PRIME denoising technology, DxO’s breakthrough noise reduction approach that can improve image quality of up to one full stop over the best noise reduction algorithms currently on the market.ĭxO OpticsPro leverages DxO Lab’s rigorous scientific calibration of camera equipment, now including over 20,000 camera and lens combinations. DxO OpticsPro 10 adds DxO ClearView, a new feature that eliminates atmospheric haze in a spectacular fashion. Octo– DxO Labs announces the immediate availability of DxO OpticsPro 10, the new version of its flagship software that has been acclaimed numerous times for the unrivaled quality of its image processing. Special sale on DxO Photo Suite, which includes all three DxO image-processing software products, through November 25, 2014 Praised for the unrivaled quality of its image processing, DxO OpticsPro is now even more accessible via two new editions and new pricing Press release: DxO OpticsPro 10 adds DxO ClearView, a spectacular new feature that eliminates haze, and improves its revolutionary PRIME denoising technology OpticsPro 10 Essential is priced at $129 USD/£99, while OpticsPro 10 Elite is priced at $199 USD/£159. DxO OpticsPro 10 is available for Windows and Mac OS X as of now in both Essential and Elite editions, with the latter offering the full suite of features. Rounding out the changes is ViewPoint plugin integration, an overall improvement to the application's user interface, and a boot speed that is said to be 1.5 times faster than previous versions (joined by 10x faster file loading). The software's Smart Lighting and Lens Softness features have been updated in the latest version, with improved auto-mode rendering of Smart Lighting and fewer artifacts from the softness tool. OpticsPro brings with it more than 20,000 combined camera and lens profiles, the information in which is used to apply corrections to troubles common with a photographer's specific kit. This is complemented by a redesigned noise reduction palette, says DxO, that gives its users a larger preview area and improved interface. In addition to ClearView, the PRIME technology used to reduce noise levels has been updated to better preserve and reveal image details while simultaneously processing photographs faster (as much as 4x over the previous speeds). The correction is a one-click process, and is limited to only the areas in which it is needed. The ClearView function aims to eliminate both haze and smog from photos of urban and landscape settings, doing so using a new algorithm that looks at every pixel's color components and tweaks contrast levels as necessary. Joining the ClearView feature are some improvements to the software, not the least of which is enhanced noise reduction promised to trump competing products, as well as interface changes. DxO has taken the wraps off OpticsPro 10, the latest software version that brings with it, among other things, DxO ClearView for correcting atmospheric haze.
